Clinics
We provide a full range of care for pregnancy. This includes pre-pregnancy counselling, antenatal and postnatal care. Pregnancy tests are available during surgery hours. There are new antenatal clinics with our midwife on Thursday afternoons however all “mothers to be” can be seen by the doctors at mutually convenient time in a normal surgery. Postnatal checks are performed six weeks after delivery
All doctors are happy to carry out immunisations when required. We also offer developmental assessment at appropriate intervals. Our charges are reduced for children under five years of age.
We offer assessment for both men and women of all ages from a simple health checks to a full medical. Blood tests, including cholesterol, and an electrocardiogram can be included. Not only do we offer this at a saving over commercial organisations, but we can follow through with advice and supervision of any problems detected. Please inform the receptionist at the time of booking that you wish to have a medical, so that enough time is allocated.
We offer cryocautery (freezing) for warts and verrucas. Some other minor surgery is also undertaken in consultation with your doctor, eg injection of tennis elbows, frozen shoulders, toenail surgery, and removal of some “lumps and bumps”.
One of our doctors, Dr Ryan, has a postgraduate qualification and significant experience in this field.
We stock all the recommended holiday immunisations. Please allow six weeks, if possible, prior to travel. We are also a licensed Yellow Fever Immunisation Centre.
Medical care can provide most benefit in preventing illness or in detecting disease early so as to limit subsequent illness. With this in mind we provide a variety of health checks. These range from simple tests of blood pressure, cholesterol measurements and diabetic screening, to full executive medicals with electrocardiograms if necessary. A separate leaflet is available with details of corporate services. Please ask your doctor or the receptionist for details.
If you do wish for a medical please inform the receptionist at the time of booking so that enough time is allocated.
Two separate visits are required, the first for blood samples to be taken, the results of which will then be available at the second visit.
We can advise women on cervical smears, breast examination, and contraception. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has both potential advantages and disadvantages for the postmenopausal woman which need to be discussed with each individual for an appropriate decision on the relative benefits to be reached.
We are happy to discuss and perform screening for prostatic and testicular cancer in men.
We act as medical advisors to a number of local organisations. We do pre-employment medicals, insurance company medicals and in-service health assessment.
We also work as medical advisers to the States of Jersey Fire Service and Police Force, and undertake medicals for scuba divers, power boat drivers, and other sporting organisations. Individual doctors are approved medical officers for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

Home Visits
Please telephone 731421. For non-urgent visits it is helpful if you can phone before 10.30am so that the doctor can visit after morning surgery.
Out-of-hours service, please telephone the Jersey Doctors On Call service on 445445, where you can attend the clinic at clinic times or have a home visit.
Repeat Prescriptions
Requests for repeat prescriptions may be made over the phone unless you are due to be seen.
Please give full details, and allow 48 hours notice. A small charge will be made.
